Children and Youth Leaders Needed
Children/Youth Leaders (CYL) at GCF provide Christian teaching and serve as role models to children and youth in three age groups (3yr-1st grade, 2-5th grade, 6-12th grade).
The positions of CYL contribute to the vision and goals of GCF by helping parents disciple their children and helping children connect to the Lord and to each other.
Qualifications
A mature Christian with biblical integrity and ministry passion.
College students and/or graduates committed to Jesus Christ
In agreement with the GCF Statement of Faith and must provide a brief Christian testimony
Ability to communicate effectively with children/youth and to teach the Bible in relevant ways.
Understanding or interest in Asian American youth culture.
Legal working status in the US (No sponsorship is offered).
Basic conversational Mandarin is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
Lead children/youth programs on Friday evenings (7pm-9:30pm), Sunday mornings (9:30am-12pm), and during special events.
Report to GCF leaders with planned activities, goals, results, and supports needed.
Lead youth to participate and serve in Sunday worship.
Organize and lead VBS, retreat and outside activities to help kids connect and grow
Approximately 8 hours/week average, flexible)
Competitive compensations commensurate with qualifications and experience.
